This program will enable you to plan & conduct dives in the 18 - 40msw range, while adhering to very safe standards & limits. You will discover a vast array of fantastic dive sites within this depth range, which will diversify your diving activities. You will learn how to control Nitrogen Narcosis, how to perform emergency decompression stops & how to plan dives according to your air consumption rate! During the course, you will help plan & conduct 4 deep dives & you will also see first hand how pressure/depth affects colours & air spaces. To participate you must be at least 15 years of age & hold an advanced qualification.
Wreck Diver
This course will give you the skills & confidence to dive safely in & around wrecks. You will learn vital skills, such as determining if a wreck is safe to enter, running lines through wrecks, procedures for silt-outs & general diving skills in the Overhead environment. This certification will open up countless sites for you to visit & is challenging, but very rewarding!
To participate you must be at least 15 years of age & hold Advanced qualifications.
Underwater Navigation
This course will give you the skills to accurately navigate complex courses underwater.
You will learn basic navigation & compass use, then move into areas of marking locations to relocate them, use of transit marks, how to use your surroundings to their full advantage & much more.
To participate you must be at least 12 years of age & be Open water certified.
Being able to efficiently find objects or lost belongings can be a very valuable tool for every diver. You can discover ways of locating items from as small as a coin to large boat engines! You will learn ways of securing & lifting objects & use specific formulas to calculate the amount of lift needed for the object's weight. You will find these skills useful in many other areas of your diving also. To participate you must be at least 12 years of age & be Open water certified.
Underwater Videography
Besides taking photographs underwater, you can also capture it on film! You may want to become an Underwater Videographer for your own personal enjoyment, to film particular subjects or events or as an introduction to the professional fields of Underwater filming. You will learn about the different cameras & housings available, the best configuration to suit your purpose, composition, editing & safe diving practices while handling a video underwater. To participate you must be at least 12 years of age & be Open water certified.
Seamanship
This course is ideal for those wanting to learn the necessary skills & knowledge pertaining to dealing with the problems & hazards encountered aboard boats. For Divemasters, this is a valuable qualification, as most Divemasters will be employed to work upon boats. For those divers who own their own boat or who frequently use boats (for pleasure or occupation) you can complete the course & receive the PADI Boat Diver certification. You will learn rope work, compass use, the Marine Buoyage System, chart & navigation use, survival at sea techniques, distress procedures, just to name a few!
